Nourrie par les formes d’un bâti vernaculaire, d’une architecture sans architectes - huttes en forêt, cabanes de pierres sèches, pierres levées, abris sous roche - Repaire est une recherche autour de la notion d’abri, une collecte qui fait écho à l’acte photographique: exposer une surface sensible, c’est s’exposer soi-même tout en s’abritant derrière l’appareil.

Inspired by the forms of vernacular buildings, of an architecture without architects - huts in the forest, dry-stone cabins, raised stones, rock shelters - Repaire is a research on the notion of shelter, a collection reflecting the photographic act: exposing a sensitive surface means exposing oneself while taking shelter behind the camera. One cannot think of shelter without exposure.
